After working in the banking industry for over 25 years, I decided to make a career change and focus on an area that has profoundly impacted my life. Both my Mom and Father-in-law faced a situation where they needed extra care and weren’t able to live in their own homes unassisted. I became aware first-hand of the emotional and logistical challenges that this need places on a family. I co-founded Home Care Connectors (HCC) because of a strong personal belief that the people we love deserve our best in their time of need. Knowing that your loved one is cared for in the best possible way is one of the most important decisions one can make.
Along with David Kuhns, a home care agency Director with 10+ years of experience, we have established a company with grateful clients, a team of extraordinary aides and standard of service that I am very proud of. Being entrusted with the care of someone in need is truly one of the greatest responsibilities, and when done with excellence, it is also one of the most fulfilling.
In addition to my personal journey with aging loved ones and the experiences of being a Home Care Director, I am a Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP), attained the Certified Senior Advisor (CSA) designation, the Alzheimer’s Association’s dementia care training certification (essentiALZ.org) and am a certified Medicare counselor with the CT State Department on Aging (CHOICES) -- all with the aim of sharing an empathetic, educated, and valuable perspective to the clients and the families we serve. I have lived in Stamford and Greenwich CT with my wife Sarah and our four children for over twenty years.

I was drawn to a career providing elder care services after my grandmother was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease. Our family struggled to understand the disease and the best way to manage her challenging symptoms.
While originally from Montgomery County, Maryland and an alumnus of the University of Maryland, I found my senior care calling 500 miles north in 2007. I became the director of a regional office of a large non-medical home care franchise. During my 10-year tenure, I helped over 500 clients. I have a unique and comprehensive understanding of this business, what my clients’ needs are and how to professionally deliver these services.
Working with families during crises and managing a large workforce presented many challenges and sometimes frustrations. Keeping true to the core mission of caring for each individual as family and respecting the compassionate work of the caregiving staff were the key. From 2007-2017 my regional office received 10 gold star quality awards from our franchise HQ, and my office doubled in size, employing over 100 qualified caregivers.
In 2015 I met JP Muir, a dynamic business leader and someone with just as much passion for improving the delivery of long-term care to those in need. After much discussion and planning, we realized that our shared experiences and abilities to innovate could lead us to build a company different and better than most other home care agencies. The realization of this synergy became complete, and Home Care Connectors was founded.
Today, I live in Greenwich, CT with my wife and two sons. I am ready to help families with any and all needs that they may have for home health care.
HR Manager & Care Coordinator
As the HR Manager for Home Care Connectors, I am the initial point of contact for recruiting reliable, compassionate and skilled caregivers. My certified nursing assistant (CNA) experience is a vital skill in truly appreciating the clinical skills of the applicants. My background as both a nursing assistant and an elementary school teacher has uniquely prepared me for a career where compassion and training are the most important of factors in leading a team of caregivers.
By working with JP Muir and his 20 years of leadership success in banking and David Kuhn’s 10+ years leading a home care agency, I’ve created a comprehensive screening process for new caregivers. This process has proven not only successful in recruiting a team that clients compliment, but also at retaining the most talented of caregivers – something I am extremely proud of. The HCC application process that I helped design consists of several key components. Examples include a test of an applicant’s transfer and ambulation techniques, a read/write report, professional reference checks, adherence to HCC drug policy and comprehensive background checks.
I am an active volunteer in the Greenwich community, where I live with my husband and two children.
